Back River Shoreline Access Messick Point (Other)

Public shoreline access at Messick Point along Back River offering opportunities for shore fishing crabbing low tide exploration and relaxation with views of the tidal river marshes and Chesapeake Bay entrance. Tidal cycles expose mudflats and shallow edges at low tide creating prime conditions for wade fishing or observing the estuary ecosystem rich in baitfish and predators. Accessible near the ramp it provides a quiet land-based complement for combining tide aware activities with enjoying the natural beauty of this lower Chesapeake Bay area.

Public boat ramp at Messick Point on Back River providing concrete ramp parking and easy entry for trailered boats kayaks and small craft launches into the tidal Back River and Chesapeake Bay for fishing boating and coastal exploration.
