Garden City, South Carolina (Guide)

Garden City on South Carolinas Grand Strand offers excellent surf and pier fishing for redfish, pompano, Spanish mackerel, whiting, and flounder from the beach or small boats with outgoing tides concentrating fish near the surf zone and Murrells Inlet jetties for stronger bites. Check current SCDNR regulations before heading out.

Public boat ramps at the Garden City Marina and nearby facilities provide convenient launches, slips, fuel, and access for bay and nearshore trips targeting additional species but strong rip currents are common along the beaches. Always confirm current marine conditions in the NOAA NWS Forecast section displayed above.

The long wide sandy beaches at Garden City Beach deliver soft sand for family picnics, swimming, surfing, shelling, and low tide exploration with calm protected waters and views of the Atlantic making it a popular tourist destination on the Myrtle Beach coast.
