Port Richey, Florida (Guide)

Port Richey on the Pithlachascotee River offers excellent inshore fishing for redfish, snook, tarpon, trout and sheepshead from the shore docks or small boats with outgoing tides concentrating fish near oyster bars mangroves and structure for stronger bites. Check current FWC regulations before heading out.

Public boat ramps at James E. Grey Preserve and the nearby Port Richey Marina provide convenient launches slips fuel and access to the river and Gulf but strong tidal currents require careful planning for safe navigation.
