Renowned for its historic bridge and turquoise seas, this park offers excellent snorkeling from shore when calm. Entry fee required - visit during low tide for the best intertidal exploration and respect rules against collecting live specimens.

Bathtub Reef Beach - Bathtub Reef Beach in Stuart features a unique offshore worm reef creating a protected lagoon that forms calm, shallow tide pools at low tide, teeming with juvenile fish, crabs, sea stars, anemones, and mollusks in warm, clear water. This family-friendly spot south of Hutchinson Island is ideal for safe wading and marine observation. Arrive early for parking - perfect during negative tides when the reef fully exposes its vibrant ecosystem.

Biscayne National Park - Within Biscayne National Park near Miami, the coastal areas and keys reveal subtle rocky and mangrove-lined tide pools at low tide with crabs, small fish, sea urchins, and invertebrates thriving amid seagrass and hardbottom habitats. Boat access enhances exploration of this mostly underwater park preserving pristine reefs. Guided tours available - check tides and weather for safe visits to Elliott Key or other shorelines.

Blowing Rocks Preserve - Blowing Rocks Preserve on Jupiter Island protects Florida's largest Anastasia limestone shoreline, where waves erupt through blowholes at high tide and low tide exposes expansive rocky tide pools brimming with sea urchins, crabs, anemones, starfish, and colorful algae. This dramatic Nature Conservancy site offers boardwalks and trails for easy viewing. Entry fee applies - best at low tide; wear sturdy shoes for slippery rocks.

Bowman's Beach (Sanibel Island) - Bowman's Beach on Sanibel Island is a serene, shell-rich stretch with occasional rocky patches and flats forming tide pools at low tide, home to hermit crabs, fighting conchs, mollusks, and small fish among the famous seashells. This quiet west Gulf beach is perfect for shelling and gentle exploration away from crowds. Parking fee - time your visit for outgoing tides to uncover hidden marine treasures.

Coral Cove Park - Coral Cove Park in Tequesta showcases rugged Anastasia limestone formations and sandy pockets creating intriguing tide pools at low tide with crabs, sea urchins, anemones, small fish, and octopuses in clear pockets along the intracoastal side. Dramatic rock sculptures and ocean views make it a photographer's favorite. Free parking nearby - ideal during morning low tides for calm conditions.

Key Biscayne - Along the shores of Key Biscayne, particularly near Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, low tides reveal rocky and reef areas forming tide pools alive with hermit crabs, small reef fish, urchins, and invertebrates in the protected waters.
