Steilacoom (Guide)

Steilacoom on the south Sound offers excellent fishing for salmon when running and rockfish and lingcod and flounder and sea run cutthroat near freshwater inflows from the waterfront or small boats with outgoing tides concentrating fish near the town structure for stronger bites. Public boat ramps at Steilacoom marina provide convenient launches slips and fuel for bay trips targeting greenling and perch. Beaches at Steilacoom waterfront and the adjacent Steilacoom Park deliver calm sand for family picnics swimming and shore casting with bay views. The historic town setting with easy access makes tide planning simple and rewarding.
