Port Madison (Bainbridge) (Guide)

Port Madison (Bainbridge) on the northeast shore of Bainbridge Island in Puget Sound offers excellent fishing for salmon when running, rockfish, lingcod, flounder, and sea run cutthroat near freshwater inflows from the beaches or small boats, with outgoing tides concentrating fish near the point and structure for stronger bites. Public boat ramps at Fay Bainbridge Park and nearby Agate Pass provide convenient launches, slips, and fuel for sound trips targeting greenling and perch. Beaches at Fay Bainbridge Park with its sandy shoreline and park facilities, Old Man House Park across the water with historic Suquamish cultural sites, and the scenic shores of West Port Madison deliver calm sand for family picnics, swimming, shore casting, and beachcombing with views of the Sound and Agate Point. Nearby Bloedel Reserve adds beautiful gardens and trails for walking, while the Bainbridge Island setting with easy ferry access from Seattle makes tide planning simple and rewarding.
