Palix River (Guide)

Palix River on Willapa Bay offers excellent fishing for salmon when running and flounder and perch and lingcod and sea run cutthroat near freshwater inflows from the river or small boats with outgoing tides concentrating fish near the river for stronger bites. Public boat ramps at Palix River provide convenient launches slips and fuel for bay trips targeting greenling and perch. Beaches at Palix River and the adjacent Willapa Bay shores deliver calm sand for family picnics swimming and shore casting with river views. The river setting with easy access makes tide planning simple and rewarding.

Bay Center Basin Boat Launch Near Palix River (Other)

Public boat launch in the Bay Center basin near the Palix River mouth on Willapa Bay for small boats, kayaks, and local access. Supports crabbing, fishing, and tidal channel exploration with nearby commercial shellfish activity; keep lookout for boats. Strong tidal currents and shallow basin drain at low tide so plan around higher tides for safe launches and navigation.
