Bay Center (Guide)

Bay Center on Willapa Bay offers excellent fishing for salmon when running and flounder and perch and lingcod and sea run cutthroat near freshwater inflows from the bay or small boats with outgoing tides concentrating fish near the bay for stronger bites. Public boat ramps at Bay Center provide convenient launches slips and fuel for bay trips targeting greenling and perch. Beaches at Bay Center and the adjacent Willapa Bay shores deliver calm sand for family picnics swimming and shore casting with bay views. The Willapa Bay town setting with easy access makes tide planning simple and rewarding.

Public boat launch and access point in Bay Center on the Palix River tributary to Willapa Bay for small boats, kayaks, and paddlecraft launches. Provides entry to tidal channels for crabbing, fishing, and exploring the bay; informal ramp with parking nearby. Strong tidal currents and low tide mudflats require caution for safe launches and navigation so plan around higher tides.

Bay Center Marina Port of Willapa Harbor (Other)

Small public marina facility in Bay Center on Willapa Bay managed by Port of Willapa Harbor supporting commercial fishing, crabbing, and shellfish aquaculture operations with docks and basin access. Provides boat tie-up and launch for local industry and small craft exploring the bay and Palix River.
