La Push, Washington (Guide)

La Push on Washingtons Olympic Peninsula at the mouth of the Quillayute River offers excellent fishing for salmon, halibut, rockfish, lingcod and Dungeness crab from the beaches or small boats with moving tides stirring bait near structure for stronger bites. Check current WDFW regulations before heading out.

Public boat ramps at the Quileute Harbor Marina provide convenient launches slips fuel and access to the Pacific but the Quillayute River bar is extremely dangerous with strong currents swells and submerged rocks. Experienced boaters cross on the flood tide when possible. Always confirm current marine conditions in the NOAA NWS Forecast section displayed above.

Beaches at First Beach and nearby rocky shores deliver wide sand and tide pools for family picnics beachcombing low tide exploration and scenic views of sea stacks making La Push a top destination for fishing boating and coastal recreation on the Olympic coast.

Marine Area 3 La Push Boating Guide
