Ayock Point Boat Launch and Access (Other)

Public boat launch and shoreline access at Ayock Point on the Hood Canal providing concrete ramp parking and easy entry for trailered boats kayaks and small craft into the deep protected waters of the canal for fishing boating and exploring the scenic fjord like inlet. Located on the east side near Union the ramp offers convenient access where strong tidal ranges influence water levels currents and navigation making tide charts essential for safe launching return and targeting species like salmon lingcod rockfish and Dungeness crab during peak flows. Free facility with proximity to Union restaurants and the Hood Canal Floating Bridge supports combining ramp use with tide monitoring and enjoying this quiet South Hood Canal boating spot.

Hood Canal Floating Bridge Public Access (Other)

Public access points near the Hood Canal Floating Bridge close to Ayock Point offering shoreline fishing crabbing low tide exploration and views across the canal with opportunities to observe strong tidal flows and marine life from land. Tidal extremes create significant water level changes exposing mudflats and enhancing shore based angling for perch flounder and crab while the bridge area provides scenic overlooks of the canal and passing vessels. Convenient parking makes it a great land based complement for combining tide aware fishing with relaxation and appreciating the unique engineering and natural beauty of this South Hood Canal location.
