* WHAT...Winds of 20 to 30 kt with occasional gusts up to 35 kt
through Monday evening, then 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt
through Tuesday morning. Steep seas of 7 to 9 feet at 7 seconds
expected through the Advisory period, with localized areas of
10 foot seas possible near northern waters on Monday afternoon.

* WHERE...For all waters south of Cape Blanco. The highest winds
and steepest seas will generally be noth of Cape Blanco.

Brookings, Oregon (Guide)

Brookings on Oregons southern coast offers excellent fishing for salmon, rockfish, lingcod, halibut and Dungeness crab from shore piers or small boats with moving tides stirring bait near structure and the Chetco River mouth for stronger bites. Check current ODFW regulations before heading out.

Public boat ramps at the Port of Brookings-Harbor and Chetco River provide convenient launches slips fuel and access for bay and nearshore trips targeting additional species but strong tidal currents and swells require careful planning for safe navigation. Always confirm current marine conditions in the NOAA NWS Forecast section displayed above.

Beaches at Harris Beach State Park and Brookings Beach deliver wide sand for family picnics swimming beachcombing and low tide exploration with scenic views of the rugged coastline making Brookings a popular destination for fishing boating and recreation on the southern Oregon coast.

Harris Beach State Park (Tide Pool)

Harris Beach State Park in Brookings on the southern Oregon coast features rugged islands and rocky shores creating diverse tide pools at low tide with purple sea stars, aggregating anemones, hermit crabs, urchins, limpets, barnacles, and small fish in a protected Marine Garden. Combine with beachcombing, camping, and Bird Island views; highly family-friendly with easy access and facilities. Excellent year-round but best at summer minus tides - one of the south coast's standout spots.
