Annapolis (Guide)

Annapolis on the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay offers excellent fishing for striped bass and white perch and catfish and bluefish from the waterfront or small boats with outgoing tides concentrating fish near the channels and structure for stronger bites. Public boat ramps at Annapolis harbor and the city marinas provide convenient launches slips and fuel for bay trips targeting black sea bass and tautog. Beaches at Annapolis waterfront parks and the adjacent Sandy Point State Park deliver calm sand for family picnics swimming and light shore casting with bay views. The historic capital city setting with easy access makes tide planning simple and rewarding.

Great for educational visits low tide exploration of nearshore areas shore fishing and relaxing on the grounds where tidal cycles expose more shoreline and enhance wildlife viewing like birds and crabs. Convenient location near downtown Annapolis supports combining cultural stops with tide watching and proximity to Ego Alley for a full waterfront experience.

Spa Creek Waterfront and Susan Campbell Park (Other)

Public park along Spa Creek with grassy areas benches walking paths and direct waterfront access for picnics relaxation shore fishing and observing tidal changes in the creek leading to Annapolis Harbor and Severn River. Excellent spot for low tide walks enjoying scenic views of moored boats and historic homes where tidal fluctuations reveal more intertidal zones and create dynamic conditions for casual coastal activities.
