A long-period south-southwest swell will produce surges in south
facing harbors and breaking waves near harbor entrances through
the night. Mariners using these harbors should exercise caution
when entering or leaving and when mooring or launching vessels.

Kaunakakai (Guide)

Kaunakakai on Molokai serves as the main harbor hub with strong fishing for papio ulua goatfish and trevally from the pier or small boats where tidal flows play a key role in channel activity. Kaunakakai Harbor offers full service ramps slips and services for boating along the south shore. Beaches at Kaunakakai Wharf area and nearby One Alii Beach Park provide sandy spots for family outings picnics and light shore casting with protected waters.
