San Clemente, CA (Guide)

San Clemente on Californias south coast offers excellent pier and surf fishing for halibut perch corbina and mackerel from the San Clemente Pier with incoming tides improving action near the jetties and structure. Check current CDFW regulations before heading out.

The San Clemente Municipal Marina and public boat ramps provide convenient launches slips and fuel for coastal trips but strong tidal currents require careful planning for safe navigation. Always confirm current marine conditions in the NOAA NWS Forecast section displayed above.

San Clemente State Beach and T Street Beach deliver wide sand for family picnics swimming surfing and low tide exploration with scenic coastal bluffs and the iconic pier making it a popular destination on the Orange County coast.

Treasure Island Beach (Laguna Beach) (Tide Pool)

In Laguna Beach (Orange County), Treasure Island Beach near the Montage Resort reveals rich southern-end tide pools at low tide with colorful anemones, mussels, crabs, small fish, sea stars, and urchins. Scenic cove setting with bluff views; family-accessible with parking and nearby amenities - ideal for relaxed, upscale tidepooling during minus tides.
